Summer Highlights
As a follow up to last year's production of The Earned Income Tax Credit: Analysis and Proposals for Reform, williamsworks strategically planned and facilitated Marguerite Casey Foundation's 2006 national policy initiative with the launch of The Voices of Working Families. williamsworks orchestrated a series of open-forum discussions held in communities across the United States. These events brought together working families, policy experts, public officials and foundation grantees to discuss the declining incomes of working families and the policy reforms that have the potential to reverse this decline.
Spring Highlights

Working with DATA, williamsworks coordinated a trip to Africa for actor Matt Damon. The trip included visits to Zambia, Africa and Johannesburg, South Africa. Matt Damon is currently using his celebrity to advocate change after seeing the AIDS epidemic first hand. For more information on his experiences, click here
williamsworks was proud to be an integral part of the planning and execution for ‘A Gathering of Hearts Illuminating Compassion,’ an event centered around religious cooperation. Participants included community members, business leaders, scholars and religious leaders from around the world including His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
