2007

Fall Highlights

This fall, our projects at williamsworks have continued to take us around the globe. We worked on agricultural development in India, explored libraries in Mexico and our work with the Alaska Wilderness League allowed us to make a difference right in our own backyard. Specifically, we had the opportunity to participate in an event honoring Seattle P-I columnist Joel Connelly, where he was presented with the first ever Voice of the Wild Award in recognition of his work promoting greater awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving Alaska’s wilderness.

williamsworks was proud to be a part of the first ever College Goal Sunday event in Washington state. Hundreds of students and families across the state of Washington were provided with greater access to financial aid. College Goal Sunday is a program that helps college-bound Washington students, who qualify for undergraduate admission to a college or technical school in 2007, and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). College Goal Sunday provides on-site help from financial aid experts, primarily from Washington colleges and universities.
