Kalila Jackson-Spieker
Project Assistant

As a Project Assistant, Kalila utilizes her passion for international development to help williamsworks clients advocate on behalf of issues ranging from the role of women in development to agriculture to education. Kalila supports the williamsworks team in project and client research and logistical coordination for specific projects as well as other administrative tasks. Kalila graduated from the University of Washington in June 2008 with an Honors degree in International Studies, and a minor in Human Rights. She previously worked for the Seattle Public Library and interned as a Complaint Counselor at the ACLU of Washington. Studying abroad in Guatemala and Peru piqued her interest in the intersections between international human rights and social development. She hopes to eventually attend graduate school to further her knowledge of these issues. Kalila grew up in the Seattle area and enjoys reading in the city’s many coffee shops.
