Madhu Krishna

As Senior Advisor, Madhu Krishna has worked with the williamsworks team since 2004 and is based in New Delhi, India. Madhu brings a wide range of experience in multiple fields, including private, public, and nonprofit sector work. She contributes to the williamsworks team with her wealth of knowledge on policy and advocacy issues as well as expertise in identifying organizations and utilizing strategic networks to provide clients with quality project management.
Before her position at williamsworks, Madhu served as the Asia Regional Director for Voxiva, Inc., a private sector information technology company focused on the public health and development sector. Prior to that, she was a senior program officer and co-country lead for PATH in India, an international NGO with headquarters in Seattle. Madhu worked as the lead for PATH’s Children’s Vaccine Program in India to introduce new routine vaccines and also coordinated work with state and national governments and with bilateral and multilateral partners, and she initiated a national injection safety coalition. As a senior program officer and country coordinator with PATH, Madhu was responsible for numerous areas, including program design, market assessments, and field trials. During this time, she was also closely associated with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and worked on many of their senior leadership learning and advocacy trips to India.
In addition to her senior policy and public health work, Madhu also has a rich eleven years of experience as a senior consultant with Industrial Development Services, a leading economic and engineering consulting firm in India, where she worked on diverse industrial sectors and development projects. Leading clients included national and international medium- and large-scale private sector corporations and international funding agencies such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. In addition, early in her career Madhu worked in senior editorial positions with Computers Today and Telematics India, leading computer and telecommunication industry magazines, and also had a brief stint as a college lecturer at the University of Delhi.
